The first paperweight designed by Lisa Law with reference given initially by the original Imari paperweight for inspiration. The shape gives an indication as to how the design would be decorated, with the shell being patterned differently to the body using the rich in-glaze blue and on-glaze red to give the depth of colour and accenting with highlights of gold. A totally modern design to a well-known pattern.
